Very sad news. One of the great characters at Hilton Park and was good to see him still selling the half-time draw tickets at the LSV. West Stand won't be the same.

Condolences to the Ward family, Brian was a true Leigh fan. Half times will never quite be the same again.

I don't often feel the need to post on forums but on this occasion I'd just like to say "God bless you Brian". A club legend!

Hopefully the club will be able to acknowledge Brian in some way (like others have mentioned in the thread) or playing one of our home pre season friendlys in his name with his relatives invited down as guests of the club.

However thats one for later, for now a terrible bit of news that will shock and sadden a lot of people associated with Leigh Centurions.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends , RIP Brian, a charactor that will be sadly missed.

I first started watching Leigh as a 7 year old in the early 80's attending with My Dad. We used to enter the ground at the Westleigh end down by what later became the 'Bellybusters' Kiosk. Even at such an early age I can still picture Brian now stood on those steps faciing the turnstyles selling tickets and all due to his enthusiasm & passion to raise the maximum amount of money possible. He was quite definitely the first of many great characters I have had the pleasure to encounter watching Leigh in the many years since.



Condolences to all Brian's family and Friends. R.I.P Brian.

Deepest condolences to his family.

Brian was one of the best ticket sellers I have ever seen. He worked his socks off to persuade fans to buy tickets he was selling. As a match day seller or an agent for the Pools scheme he was one of the best. Leigh R.L.possessed many outstanding pools agents but Brian, as I say was one of the very best.



I remember his wife passing -that was sad and Brian took it bad.



Brian deserves an accolade, he was a ticket selling genious and he will be sadly missed by his many friends.
