Well done Leeds, i wasn't to bothered who won till i saw a couple of sarcastice comment about our ebay site on the Saints board, were as on the Leeds one a good responce.

The new format of the play offs are whats wrong. How it used to be is at least one of the top 2 teams got to the GF guaranteed. How it is set up now ends up with 2 teams that where way behind the top 2 all season slug it out in the GF. Hopefully this will change next season, as well as getting rid of the club call thing.



As for todays match, it was a great game but frustrating that Saints have bottled it again.

Don't like the current system but the top two have had plenty of chances to make their advantages count - the fact that both Saints and Leeds won away against one of the top two certainly doesn't mean they've had an easy route to the final.

I`ll stick with my OP .........The SL GF winners came from a club who have been dross all year and NOT worthy of being called the BEST team in SL...The systems flawed , thankfully in our Div, Fev defeated a team who position wise were not worthy of a GF place.

Saints looking good at 16-8 then Rob Burrow does it again.



Same when he played against Warrington.

The biggest worry for this game is the thousands of empty seats at our showpiece event.

70K there TS - don't see that as a worry at all. Sat in the gods at the saints end and loved every minute. Crackin atmosphere, good banter (a couple of Wigan fans were gettin well ripped

) and a beltin game of rugby. And before anybody asks I didn't pay a penny for the ticket

Col I was sat in the south stand and if the attendance was 70k we will win it next yr. Half the top tier north stand was empty and around a 1/3 of the tier you were in.

TOTALLY AGREE Budge , they dont give a hoots about us i care for just one team .

well i had a superb day, beers and a curry beforehand, then brilliant seats in the 2nd tier of the north stand, right on halfway, and a tip top rl match, and as is tradition it rained and we all got wet. Yes the play offs are flawed, but yesterday was great and i enjoyed it. only down side was the tickets did not arrive in time from the rfl/old trafford, so had to go and get them from the ground, hence did not get chance to go and see mick from fax and frankb.

Fair enough 69K+ was announced and looked pretty full from where I was, but then again I couldn't see the big screen, let alone the rest of the ground from the gods

I can tell you that there was Ste as Wigan didn't sell their full allocation of tickets.

Empty seats or not I had a great day out, met a fellow gashead (Bristol rovers fan) shared a pint with him at half time and convinced him to bring his lad to a Leigh home game next season!! Sat next to 2 Barrow fans and after a good chat I left feeling we have not to much worry about compared to them!

Could you not afford a pint apiece wurzel.

At £3.30 a bottle of Bulmers (which we all know isn't proper cider) could you blame us for sharing!!
