No the Miners U15' have NOT folded nor are they going to. They have had a number of lads who have asked for transfers, which has left them with reduced numbers for the time being, but they still have a great core of dedicated and enthusiastic lads, who are keen to kick on from here. The situation is being addressed by the coaching staff and the committee and we will be boosting their numbers over the coming weeks and months. Leigh MIners Rangers WILL be running an Under 16's team next season (2010 / 2011), and anyone who is interested in Joining the team and the club, can get in touch via the website at:

The lads who have left/want to leave/asked for transfers etc.. were/are also dedicated and enthusiastic and have been so for 9 seasons. You have to ask yourself (the club) the question why are they now looking to leave.

....mmmmm so when is their 1st match and who is this against? Or was this just a ploy to prevent lads from signing for other clubs, stopping them from training and freezing them out of the game for 8/9 months   |

So come on Sutton Park and the rest of you, the silence is blinkin deafening. What spin are you going to try to put on this one? I guess you will just sweep it under the carpet and forget about it all without looking for root causes whilst not giving a flyin for those that have sufferred.
