I acquired it from the brewery who owned Leigh Arms just before they closed it at the time they hadn't sold it so it was gonna stay shut. I'm with the same brewery they rang me to go in and see if theres anything I wanted and then they'd give me a price I took the picture and other smaller pictures plus tables, chairs and glasses.

One used to be up on the walls of the "old" board room at Hilton Park, it's was the room with the sloping ceiling near the offices upstairs

I suggested 6 inch nails Fred, much quicker, plus once they were in, they'd have to cover them with something, like perhaps a RL themed picture , Dessie or Mick Martyn perhaps

Again in an open LISA meeting some years ago Simon Toone said that as long as the Centurions obtained the required permissions then a sign could be erected, as for how could they put things up in the legends bar I will not put forward suggestions all I am doing is relating what has been said, nothing more nothing less.

Ages ago, I thought LSV gave us the go ahead to use old photos etc on movable screens, in the Banqueting suite. If there is any objection to permanent memorabilia in any of the bars/suites, can we not do that?

Simon Toone has also confirmed to me that they want the photographs inside the Legends bar, there are caveats but they can be overcome, I would hope we enter next season with a real 'Legends' feel inside there.

I thought Roy Jackson ordered two lino carvings from Gerrard Dinsdale - art teacher at St Mary's - one for the Garrick and one for the club.

I hope the club still has its copy - the copy in the Garrick was sold at auction when the Garrick closed; suppose Jimmy Wilcock could have bought it, hence it being in the Leigh Arms and now the Avenue.
