We see that some players who are still here from last season havent improved and maybe some of our new men arnt wot we hoped however Basil aint stupid and he will give them a chance. We are short of pace so why not play Dollin he for me is a cracker who can play a few positions we have that lad from W+gan Melling who can also run so dnt be suprised to see them get their chance very soon.

Why are people expecting miracles over night!! we finished 2nd bottom last year and not much has changed in terms of the squad!! As i have said before Millward is a great coach not a god! in time i am sure he will see out the dead wood in terms of player and STAFF but unfortunatly recruitment was hindered by not knowing what division we where playing in. This could take two or three years for us to see leigh winning regularly we must remember the teams around us are improving on what they had last year and we couldnt match them 2009 so why people expect so much because of one man is beyond belief!! Lets just get behind the team and hopefully see the young develop and meet the potential show!

I echo the same as above! I went to the game yesterday and was dissappointed with the performance but there's no point slating players off or the coaching staff, we need to get behind the team and hopefully they may suprise us with some decent wins but we really can't expect too much can we? We are building from the bottom of this division as last seasons table proved. So if people have high expectations then they have misguided judgement in my opinion.

Not necessarily high expectations, but 3 quality props at this level to come back, Hartley to , Ridyard at S/Oand the dual contract players make us a top 4 team IMO



And we don't need to worry about ticking boxes for a franchise, because we aint going to get one anyway. Only Widnes are close to deserving one of the champ teams. And now that the high and mighty SL clubs have realised that they are in the financial poop and want to reduce SL back to 12 (welcome to our world Salford and Wakey) we can just progress nicely to the top end of the champ over the next 2/3 years and build the fan base back up.

I was dissappointed with yesterday too but it will take more than that for me to write the season off,once we get back to full strength and the milder weather comes i'm sure we will see a big difference.

I'm dredding us playing Barrow in a few weeks I hope they have a bad day at the LSV & we can salvage something but with out a full strength squad i doubt it. I hope we beat Fev this weekend because it won't do well for our self esteem. It's quite a few loses against them recently have they beat us in the last 3 encounters?

It's how the players react to the loss at York that will interest me. Let's be honest we're better than that no matter what anyone says.



I'm sure Basil will be drumming that into them all week and they should come flying out of the traps at home with the fans behind them. If they've got any pride at all they'll be wounded and want to make up for it.



I agree with us missing players and dual contract ones to come and I also agree with Ridyard playing stand off. I thought the lad had come of age at the back end of last season and he's ready for the challenge. Tim Hartley is a big unit and should punch his weight at centre or maybe even loose forward.

You have to remember with Barrow that its a Thursday night game and I`m guessing that a few of their lads will have to work that day before the long coach trip to the LSV. We should also have the duel contract lads playing for us by them........ don't write us off turning them over.

BTW....whens Bibey back, sure on meet millward night he said end of Feb/March and hoping Hill is back for it.
