Absolute rubbish. You seriously think a player thinks were he is on the contract front before he decides how hard he tries out on the pitch.

Players play 100 percent every game. Lack of performance is down to factors like injury and confidence or in the case of Ferguson been played out of position. Clubs are not stupid. Do you actually think if a player has a three year contact and he is dire for the first two and a half that playing well for the last six months is going to fool anyone from either the club or any potential future bidders.

Ferguson is playing well because he is playing in the back-row again, being allowed to work on an edge; where he is most effective. Not at prop.



I also feel that had Fa'alogo stayed for one more year and been put back in the second row we would have seen a different player, the player we saw briefly in 2010.

i do feel players tend to suddenly try alot harder when contracts are due for renewal yes...seen it on many occasions for it not to be the case! playing for their contracts and livelihoods soon gives them a kick up the backside. give them all one year contracts, would soon have everyone on top form!

I have to say that the Giants are not coming out of this very well at all.



As someone who has been involved in a number of unfair dismissal claims i have some real sympathy for Mason and if the club are found to have done wrong then they have no one to blame but themselves.

In some ways it seems as if the club have dealt with some staffing issues in a pretty shabby way

Got nothing against Mason for doing it, as it does seem like he has a damn good case here...

how can you possibly say that when you dont know the full facts we know a little about this incident but dont know about what else has happened - and mason could very well have had verbal and written warnings in the past. I suspect his contract will probably include wording about not behaving in a manner bringing the club into disrepute etc etc,

If a picture of my naked rear was posted on social media I would also be sacked for gross misconduct. My contract requires me to behave in a professional manner.

as for the mooning picture and the accounts given in court it seems as if the club were looking for a reason to get rid of Mason.



We were quite happy to keep Griffin after he clobbered a girl in a taxi and threatened to beat up another Giants player if the said players girlfriend gave evidence against him, bringing the club into disrepute was not such an issue there

Reading through it myself, It does seem like Mason and his team have a pretty solid case against you. The fact you had already sign CK - And had to pay a compensation fee for tapping him up too doesn't help you.



Could be a costly case.

Worst decision was to give him such a lucrative contract in the first place. I thought Thewlis was supposed to be a shrewd operator?
