RFL don't seem to think we Grapple tackle according to the disciplinary review panel.

Not [istrictly[/i true. They were found 'penalty sufficient', which I suppose means they did grapple.



What gets me though is that first game in Saints grappled and didn't get pinged. We were up and off straight away to our disadvantage.



Bradford, we were up and off straight away. No matter, pinged like no ones business.



Against Cas we played more like Saints did in our first game and got men in the tackle to slow down the PTB. Pinged like hell.



It's not on, we don't know how to play because there is no consistency. And the comments from some about how we're apparently dirty are just laughable. We're trying to play to the rules, but the refs don't apply them consistently.

Saints have been the worst (best?) side for grappling and lieing on for a good few years. I don't know whether to call them worst or best because they take it to the margins more than anyone else and seem to get away with it.

i doubt any team are that squeaky clean as to only commit 4 offences in 80 minutes, castleford certainly werent its just ganson chose who and when to penalise, it happens in this game, one team always gets the benefit of a referee's inconsistency , this week like at bradford mr ganson decided that we committed almost every offence

The penaltys the boys gave away were down to frustration on saturday,speaking to some of the boys after this is what they told me ,spoke to KM about the one he gave away while in possesion,he told me he was trying to get to his feet and a certain cas player had tried to gowge him and grab his family jewels,i think mr matterson needs to look at his own players before he slags ours off.

really enjoyed the game, alot better than watching bloody whinos thought hudds deserved the win with the penalty count and all the possession cas had,plus the sin binning. if shudders had had these advantages, they would have won by a street length. both sides were just as bad in the tackle . mattersons comments afterwards were just excuses of which he always seems to have plenty

The ref problem summed up with the Giants games against Cas and then Quins.



Huddersfield conceeded about 15-16 penalties against Cas, a week later we conceeded about 3-4 penalties?



Mostly did same as the week before, guarenteed we cut out a few of the silly penalties but the holding down, offside was exactly same as week before? (for what it's worth not penalties).



either Brown has a magic wand or refs are not consistent from week to week, Thaler made some strange decisions but at least he was fully 50/50 which is ok for me.

RLE has us conceding one penalty. It was at least two though IIRC.

Robinson got pinged for 2 head highs to start with

And one for encroaching at a scrum. Just before Danny Ward scored. It was that penalty that gave Quins field position to mount the attack.
