Think the word "disgrace" is a bit strong when you are talking about a minority sports crowd figures. Think hacks like Irvine should be a bit more careful than using emotive words like that.



Gutters - you do make me laugh. You of all people keep having a go at crowds...by your own admission, you were hardly a die-hard when you lived in London.



The word for our crowds is "disappointing" or "annoying" (or "small"icon_wink.gif

How can anyone say that crowd wasn't a disgrace? It was a total disgrace and an embarrassment.

DSWG......you make a valid point, I attended maybe 10 games a year at best. I am exactly the type of fan the club should have been targetting with encouragement to become a ST holder.......I never, ever got any such encouragement. I was on a mailing list that was used a couple of times at GP.

I can ..I just did.





Seriously, "disgrace" could be applied to the idiot Salford louts that were a complete embarrassment to the human race but imo, it's a bit strong in the context of an RL game.

BTW, I doubt there were even 1500 in the ground by the second half. That terrible first half saw people walking out (including some die-hards that I know).



Problems remain, how do you get people to come and watch a losing team?

I almost walked out at halftime too - glad I didn't. However the atmosphere was the best it's been all season where we were sitting (which was near the halfway line in the west stand) during [size=150=#FF0000THAT[/size 2nd half. Personally I've given up noticing how small the crown is this year and if I wasn't a ST holder I certainly wouldn't have been to every home game this season - and I travel a long way to home games.

Gutters I take the point about targetting people like you (though one of you is probably enough

) but it wasn't beyond your capabilties to ring the club and order a ST if you wanted to support the club. Why do you think the rest of London should turn up to watch this shower?



We know Gutters thoughts on marketing but I wonder if there is any budget left for it. After all, St Dave has had to spend money he was not expecting to, i.e the removal of a coach and appointment of another one and additional staff.



All in all, it's been a right crock of poo. Sooner we get this season over with the better!

I've got my own problems I have been given an official warning on the West Ham website, I've been a member of since 2003, for recently being negative about the owners and manager, which is bordering on Trolling, says the moderator

If Official Warnings in writing were given on our boards there would be very very few left!





Never watched Backchat, I quite like Stevie, people have to to remember in the media they are not employed to be loved by viewers all the time! Catalan fans the other week though he was the video referee, Saints fans feel he does not like them, I just take him as he is! Studd is a waste of time like French! on the BBC.



Agree I will be glad when the season is over, watching the Super League Show this week I was losing interest at times, tackling by nearly all clubs at times is atrocious and the passing of the ball is more like basketball and don't get me started about teams kicking the ball dead just to pin the opposition back!

1 It wasn't beyond my capabilities....but that's the problem. The club assumed I would......field of dreams....field of dreams.

2. Budget? Don't make me laugh. DH ploughs 1.5 mill into the club and not even 5% of that is spent on marketing.

3. I agree 100% about getting this season over and done with...but a win at the weekend and maybe 1 more against HKA would make it better
