What does he bring to the team-the tactics are dreadful, he is forever putting players in the wrong positions. Im at a loss with him-He is useless-these are his players[/i
After reading Red Amber and Black regularly it seems McDermott will be a straight swap for Macnamara.

Macnamara will be the full time England coach and as far as I am aware not available to coach a SL side.

Mac has a decent squad- not brilliant but certainly not bottom of the league'"
Completely agree, there is talent in our squad, albeit a squad lacking in depth. McGuire is to my mind exactly the sort of coach we need. An Aussie looking to make his name, possibly acting as an assistant in the NRL, and maybe with a bit of the mongrel in him to shake things up a bit. Look at Nathan Brown, someone like him would surely improve things.

| I think Brian has had a lot to contend with since he's been down here.
It must have been pretty tough when we didn't have a CEO and when Lenegan departed (wasn't it him that wanted Mac here?).
That said, I think it is time for a change of coach. Good luck to
Brian whatever he chooses to do. I think he tried very hard but we need a change of direction.
Anyone know what Tony Currie is up to? I'd like to see him back here.

| I think it is time to part company with BM. He was never the greatest communicator, but his `tell it how it is` approach (which seemed refreshing at first) seems to have been replaced with a siege mentality the longer his lack of success has dragged on. It`s impossible to engage him in any conversation after a game and any approach is dismissed with a terse comment. Clearly he is no longer enjoying his time at Quins. Like any other SL coach in the bottom half of the table he has had his fair share of problems with player injuries, lack of resources etc, but he seems unable tactically to find any answers or bring about any lasting improvement. All we are offered is empty sound bites about how well we played after yet another 40-50 point thrashing. Bradford are welcome to him and I hope he gets the success he thinks he deserves........we will get a new coach and hopefully that coach will not find it too hard to improve upon our abysmal 20% success rate......we might even get one that does not snarl at the fans!!

| I think it's time for a change - next season could easily be equally as bad for us, as I foresee a number of experienced departures with replacements most likely to come from outside of Super League. I'm not sure whether Mac will go to Bradford as the rumours about Potter seem to be quite strong at the moment, regardless of his "I'm going back to Australia" protestations.

I wasn't suggesting Macnamara coaches Quins, rather that both managers appear to have the same limitations. Reading the thoughts of both sets of fans, Bradford won't notice any change.
