Given the unfolding disaster best place to be if you ask me.
In fact I'm not sure it's far enough away.

Half right as I said earlier, you have to have something to market first before you try and sell the product.
No matter how good a marketing person is, that can't sell a crap experience twice and who would want to pay again to see us???
The Club should sack Powell now, get in a decent coach, give all current season ticket holders renewal at 50% of this years price and work their s off from now till next season marketing and training.

I understand the sentiment but I personally would be more than happy to pay £99 again, but I think the damage has already been done. Our 'brand' has been irrevocably tarnished, associated with complete and utter dismal failure. Powell is only at fault for what he is in control of i.e. on-pitch matters. Off the field no investor in their right mind would touch us, so short of the RFL and Sky clubbing together to buy a controlling stake in us I just don't see where we go once Hughes runs out of patience.

Lots of teams fail on the pitch. We seem to be one of the few that accept it.

Surely his problem is too much patience.
I realise it's his train set & he can do what he likes with it but it feels more like a live action re-enactment of [iBrewster's Millions[/i day by day.

| At least we all seem to be in agreement that far too much patience has been shown which has ended up creating what is now a crisis, good job the game is badly handling the Bradford situation it had detracted away from our position, but unfortunately I can't see anything changing at our club this season has been a disaster so far on and off the pitch.

| My reasons for moving East are;
1.) Closeness to a number of amateur clubs. For example, Medway Dragons wouldn't be the end of the earth in terms of travelling time from Stratford International. Its a known fact that thousands of tickets were given to the Medway club for the Gillingham game, by moving nearer more may be tempted to buy season tickets/attend the odd game or three.
2.) 2012. This year as we well know, we have the Olympic Games in the East of the City. There will then be thousands of houses built on the site, which will eventually be filled, giving the club even more people to aim at. Also, the sporting facilities left behind will be top notch and of Olympic standard. Better facilities will result in better Academy products in the future but that bit is just my opinion.
3.) Public transport. One stop from Leyton and you're in Stratford. From there you can get to France and also Kent and Essex. Not only that but you will be in the West End/City within 30 minutes. Also, the A12 meets up with the M25 and M1 which is handy for the fans of the SEVEN Yorkshire based clubs.
Not only just for my purpose.

How do you know thousands of tickets were given to MD? Would you like to make clear that tickets were purchased?

I'm sure it was posted on here that MD were given a large amount (may not be thousands, but still a large amount) of free tickets and 'given' a stand at Priestfield. I'm sure some tickets were purchased also.

Yeah the links to Twickenham are terrible - How RU managed to get those people to turn up is anyone's guess.
Public transport in London is fine pretty much wherever you are.
Oh and your France logic is the most ridiculous thing I've heard on here might as well say that Twickenham is closer to Heathrow and Gatwick and therefore perfect to get to from anywhere in the world.
