Quote Simon M="Simon M"GF, you too freely call people idiot and that's really not on.'"
Sorry Simon M.....Look away now if you are that sensitive.
Quote Simon M="Moe Lester"My reasons for moving East are;'"
If my thoughts below sound a little condescending, that's because they are.......just to clarify it NOW rather than later, when Jaybs tries to rescue you.
Quote Simon M="Moe Lester"1.) Closeness to a number of amateur clubs. For example, Medway Dragons wouldn't be the end of the earth in terms of travelling time from Stratford International. Its a known fact that thousands of tickets were given to the Medway club for the Gillingham game, by moving nearer more may be tempted to buy season tickets/attend the odd game or three.'"
So, based on the fact that you know the names of more clubs near where you are based, rather than the names of clubs where you aren't, bundled together with the "pretend" fact that your "pretend" free tickets were taken up in greater numbers than the "pretend" free tickets handed out in West London and or Medway, you believe that a move East is the way forward?
Using your logic....and I do use that term as loosely as I dare, the club should have moved to Welford Road in 2000, given that's where they got their biggest gate of 1999....

We could have become the Perpignan Broncos in 2006, give that's where our highest home gate of 2005 was....
Quote Simon M="Moe Lester"2.) 2012. This year as we well know, we have the Olympic Games in the East of the City. There will then be thousands of houses built on the site, which will eventually be filled, giving the club =#FF0000even more people to aim at. Also, the sporting facilities left behind will be top notch and of Olympic standard. Better facilities will result in better Academy products in the future but that bit is just my opinion.'"
The Bit in RED Bold reminds us that all of your previous efforts on justifying a move east have revolved around any such shift involving marketing, whilst totally ignoring the fact that the club have not marketed themselves anywhere else. I would suggest that rather than a costly move to pastures new, the club actually spend some money marketing where they are currently before upping sticks.
Quote Simon M="Moe Lester"3.) Public transport. One stop from Leyton and you're in Stratford. From there you can get to France and also Kent and Essex. Not only that but you will be in the West End/City within 30 minutes. Also, the A12 meets up with the M25 and M1 which is handy for the fans of the SEVEN Yorkshire based clubs.'"
Twickenham Stoop is one of only a handful of purpose built Rugby Stadiums in the country. It is approximately a 10 minute walk from an rail line that is served by 20+ trains an hour and is in an area that is served by 25+ bus routes....in addition, it is in the shaddow of a stadium that has no problem getting 82,000 people through it's gates 7 or 8 times a year. As for Northern fans......as I have shown over the years, with my obsessive hobby of crowds at London games, the "away" fans that you speak of, often enough, are residents in London......when Wigan, Leeds or Saints play us, there are very rarely any more coaches than for other teams in the car park......yet these teams attract on average 1,500 to 2,500 more fans......where are they hiding these 75 seater coaches.....20+ of them
Quote Simon M="Moe Lester"Not only just for my purpose.'"
Maybe not, but come back when you have a decent set of arguments for a move east other than to cover up the mistakes of the last 17 years by moving somewhere else to repeat them again, rather than facing the problem head on and doing something about it!
By the way.......THIS IS NOW A DERAILED THREAD............you were a tad premature with your assertion earlier that only made you look like an IDIOT.
