[iHarlequins RL are delighted to announce that Stationery Officer Arthur Ramsbottom has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2013.
Arthur has had an outstanding year, remaining an ever-present in the club office (he accidentally locked himself in the toilet throughout much of April until he was discovered by one of the cleaning staff) and resulted in him receiving the coveted Golden Paperclip at the Richmond Stationers Awards, held annually at the glittering Isleworth Ramada.
Acting head coach Rob Powell commented "This is a crucial signing for Quins RL as we look to strengthen our back office arrangements. He is an integral part of the team and he showed this consistently throughout 2010 - most notably when Paul Blanchard ran out of yellow post-its during Ben Bolger's contract negotiations"
Arthur is 86 and is another example of the club promoting local talent. Keep your eyes peeled on the facebook group and twitter feed for more exciting signings! [/i'"

Can we start an `Arthur Ramsbottom OUT` campaign, he`s had long enough to prove himself and I don`t think he will ever be SL standard.
Another example of club mis-management....we should get some overseas talent in, perhaps an ex UPS or DHL guy (not sure what the overseas admin quota is these days)......the club have allowed the stationary cupboard to get in a terrible state and it`s about time things were sorted out.

Only happened under Double cheeseburger though, in the days of Tony Rea he ensured that the Yoof didn't get a look in for the top jobs and could always be relied upon to spot a second tier chain rattler who would come over and could sure make those piles of A4 sing, in fact did he not once sign up the eventual winner of the back to back "Staples most pens carried in a season" award?

Oh yes, Ralph. The problem there was Martin Offiah was his agent and he scuttled off to Wigan as fast as his stubby legs could carry him. After he fell out with Maurice Lindsay he took a job at the Labour Party - apparently Douglas Alexander goes through Green Bic's like they're going out of fashion |
