Yeah i remember hearing the 1900 crowd being announced. My girlfriend and AFL fan laughed at us. But I think secretly she's converted, I heard hear yelling several times through the game.

It was what i expected. Why would it have been higher when we only average 3500k for league games and the 4th round of cup is always low?

Think we've had even lower gates for this round before, although probably against non SL opposition. With Thursday in mind is there a statto out there who knows what size crowd we have to beat in order not to have recorded SL's (or our) lowest gate ever?

about 1,200 I believe. Workington Town. We had 1,800 for a game v Hudds in 2001 which I believe is our lowest crowd in the SL era.. with 2112 being the lowest since we returned to the stoop (castleford)

I'm sure one of the statto's will correct me but we played Gateshead on a Sunday lunchtime around 12.00 ko last time out at the Stoop and that was a miserable turnout for SL.

I am sure we had a three figure crowd at the end of 1996! But it could be my mind playing tricks.

Other sports don't interest me. What does interest me is the Crowd figures at Quins Rugby League. I have no say what so ever in what the club do to address these figures, I simply point out that they are bad and offer possible solutions.

Personally....I would have made every ticket to this game £10 and run a little advert in TNT.

Sounds reasonable to me, maybe chuck in an small Easter egg for the kids......I'm sure Paul Blanchard has a plan to address this but I'll be effed if I know what it is!!



ps thought the O's would have been fairly happy with a midweek gate of nearly 7,000
