Yes he IS better than Randall. Probably not better than Randall of 4 years ago but I'm afraid we'll all have forgotten how good Chad was by the time the next 2 years have passed.

In League Express Ellis really voices his frustration/annoyance, that a contract offer seemed to be withdrawn.

There is no evidence that Randall brings any leadership and Ellis should have been the priority to keep.

I don't see it myself, but I reckon that Randall will be given the captaincy last year and in a strange way may have been the reason why he got a contract and Andy Ellis did not, or am I trying to rationalise an irrational decision.

That may be true, but why can't both be kept? The salary cap can't possibly be an issue to us can it?

Hughes' money, and so his say. From the outside it seems bizarre, so maybe Rob Powell's to blame. On a serious note is seems just plain bizarre, and at best an illogical decision, but that is from the outside, we don't know if he was injury-prone, not doing what the coach was asking of him, etc.

Maybe we had paid over the odds for him as we did Wilkes and DH is cutting the bigger earners from the wage bill-I doubt Randall is earning half what he was.



When you think Purdo, Orr, 2 Aussies have left/leaving, Randall probably on a reduced wage that will free up a big chunk of the SC.
