Someone tweeted this morning to RLWC2013 & SuperLeague why not put the Rugby League World Cup Team in London for two years to work with the club in Super League and look to having a re-match of the Big One Test with New Zealand at the end of time, to build the club and game in London.

Back in the Victorian era and before, it was possible to buy chamber pots with a picture of your least favourite politician in it (at the time of the Napoleonic wars there was even one made with a bust of Napoleon in it!). You could tell the views of your host by who you were relieving yourself on. How about doing one with Gus in it as a fund raiser

If you know someone who's good with ceramics I reckon you might get a few takers on here!

It has nearly been a week since the initial announcement, I have to admit that this week has flown by on a personal level so I haven't really put to much thought into the future of the London Broncos but I have to say it is alarming to sit back and think that there is little over 72 hours to work out the future of the club.



I believe the talks all centre around Roehampton as there is still a year on the current contract to use and it is not practical to train there and play at Barnet. With the amount of land and facilities at Barnet, I'd hazard a guess that training would take place there if there is to be a break through.

Why isn't it possible to train at Roehampton and play in Harrow? Plenty on Yorkshire players travel to their clubs in Lancs for training and vice versa?



Mind you I love the joined up thinking, let's move from SW London while we still have a year on a training facility there

So what you are saying is that the hold up has nothing to do with the RFL/other clubs in SL but just AK wanting to scrap paying for Roehampton as a precondition for taking over? As far as the club is concerned if the owner of the Hive (AK) is going to be our new owner the cost of training at the Hive is zero or minimal so i guess giving up Roehampton would save on those running costs. I dont know what those cost are but find it hard to believe thay are so huge that DH couldn't work something out with AK if that alone will secure the clubs future.

Admin along with all training was based at Richard Evans Playing Fields, Roehampton during the last season, and that address was always used on the website.



Roehampton is only just one of the points that need to be resolved, within the 10 days notice, a big point will be concessions with signing players.

Reading between the lines, the Broncos have a year left on their current contract with the owners of Roehampton and they would not be prepared to lose out because it is a breach of contract and obviously a loss of earnings.

All sounds pie in the sky to me and we are dead and soon to be buried.

Ridiculous if an issue like the contract on the training facilities (which must have been know about since they decided to vacate SW London) is still a critical problem at this stage.

Question I'd ask is who signed a deal for the training ground than ran a year longer than our deal to play at the stoop



Given Gillingham was on someone's wish list, I find it incredible anyone would be stupid enough to sign up for extra years.....

At least the players can be using it while we locate a new ground. Oh hold on....

Probably the same person who in the end decided to ignore what was on offer at Gillingham. SL suicide and I assume he is still CEO.

Training ground was on a rolling lease with a termination clause that has been exercised and the club no longer operates from there...so is not an issue.

Things are looking more positive (than last Wednesday Evening) with 2 options on the table.

Personal attacks are not appreciated, especially when the attackers aren't in possession of all the facts and both Gus and TR are working 24/7 to sort this out because they care.



I am all for backing off, but the fact that I had to post a snide comment about the training ground lease (which I now accept was incorrect) to illicit a response from the club speaks volumes as to the frustration that must be being felt by you guys in London.



Still.....I suppose any news is welcome

I still fail to understand why they don't see the importance of communication with "the outside world". Accepted that many matters must remain confidential, but that surely doesn't mean that they can say absolutely nothing. And, if there is a valid reason that they can't talk, why don't they at least say that?

I responded to a poster who said one of the stumbling blocks to salvation was the training ground, by asking who the would have signed a longer lease on the training ground than stoop when they knew we were leaving........I didn't say that the lease was longer, just asked who would be responsible if it was.



As for personal attacks.......get a ing grip. You have a bee in your bonnet regarding my stance on the failings and errors of the CEO, yet Gus and I still communicate directly in a civil manner.....why is it you are so upset? I blame Gus for the non-required name change and I blame Gus for the drop in fans by 34% on his watch. I also blame him for the move away from a perfectly good rugby stadium, I blame him for our homelessness, the "home" games played away from home last year at the request of the landlords, have I mentioned the reduction in Season Ticket sales?, the farcical situation with a cricket manufacturer supplying our kit and very very limited club shop stock.....I don't blame him for Shooting Kennedy, but I believe he may have been in Dallas that weekend......GUS Knows what I blame him for, yet he still communicates with me....while you get y? Why is that?
