I'd agree with that. The only debate is whether he wants to carry on with Tomkins at full-back or not.

I think the fact that Roberts is fit and Goulding is in good form could put paid to that switch this Friday.



Unless he puts Sam at FB with Roberts on the wing and Goulding on the bench. When the pig goes off, TL to 9, Sam to 6, Amos to 1 and Goulding on the wing.



I think the players I've selected will play but I'm not 100% sure in which positions.

I wasn't able to go to Salford game, but listened to some of the game on GMR. They did a live interview with Baily during half time in which he said he was two to three weeks from being fit. I didn't realise he was carrying some kind of injury. He could have been doing a Millward I suppose??

Bench looks a tad light bench perhaps, or maybe its more of an unknown quantity as I dont know much about Farrell or Tuson.

Well we're missing two of our regular props (Coley suspended and O' Carroll injured) and Feka has fallen out of favour with maguire of late despite our front row shortage. He may get a recall this week though, although he's been in the 19 for the last few games and not been selected.



Farrell and Tuson are two young back-rowers from the academy who got drafted in mid-season following injuries to Hansen and Mossop and hvae ben in or around the squad ever since. They're both pretty solid but I think Farrell is slightly ahead of Tuson in the pecking order due to being a tad bigger and stronger and if it came down to a choice between the two, he'd get the nod. Saying that, if Phil Bailey is injured as Lippy claims then they'll both play, which I'd be more than happy with

Feka needs to play.



In the last few big games we have missed that extra mommentum that he brings.



Tuson has done nothing to be dropped and i have no doubt that he will have another solid game if selected, but i really think we need more power now that Coley is missing.

Remember the CC semi-final last year though? Pretty sure Monaghan's eyes would light up if he sees Feka stood at marker blowing out of his . Madge will have seen the video of that game as well. I can see the reasoning behind giving Feka a go on Friday but the cons probably outweigh the pros IMO

He's just not done enough this season to earn his place for me - or, presumably MM either. It does seem he's been hard done by in terms of the number of run-outs he's been given in which to impress, but I trust Madge's judgement on this one given that he's not got much else wrong so far - Feka for whatever reason just doesn't seem to fit.



Think there was word on here the other day that his performances in the u-20's had hardly been world-beating, and other than his try at Saints this year he's not had much of an impact in the first team.



Plus there's his performance against Wire in the CC semi last year where he got destroyed, if memory serves. Friday's not one to gamble on him for me.

I really think Feka won't play. I hope he doesn't, no disrespect to him but in defence he is very weak and will targetted time and time again by Monaghan.
