Reading some strong runours that Mr Hock has been sacked as far as i know this is news to me but does anyone have any knowledge on this??? As far as i was aware he's recovering from his operation on the shoulder and he'd signed a contract extension not too long back so where has this come from and how true is this anyone??????

More Hock rumours. Brilliant...
Nothing in it at all as far as I know. I think it's just regurgitation of the rumours that started a few months back regarding Parramatta and the 'rumoured' reasons behind that move which ranged from the ridiculous to the unbelievable.

Will be a big loos to your team losing Gareth. I personally can't see another player in SL replacing him at Wigan. Not my favourate player but god I wish we had him at Leigh.

Why would the club sack him?
If they wanted rid then put him on the transfer list.
That way we'd get a fee rather than giving him away and probably to one of our main rivals.
OK we'd have to pay him but he wouldn't be playing and that would do him more harm than it would the club.
That's of course if there's anything at all in this, yet again!

I was thinking along the same lines. With top players so rare in Super League surely if the club wanted rid they'd try to sell him? If interested clubs had no money available there's the potential of trading players. Even if it wasn't like for like surely the club would look to get at least something of value in return for a player who, even with his past issues, is very highly rated and valuable to the club. |
