Getting the town of Montpellier or the Dragons to lay on free transport from Perpignan is the stumbling block im told.

I dont understand they the Dragons would want to move away, they have a solid fan base over there now and they sell the Wigan game out every year. Doesnt make sense.

No, it's further from Perpignan, more like a trip to Hull.

I've made the point before though. They are a regional side as opposed to one based in Perpignan and have always played games on the road in places like Beziers, Narbonne and last year Barcelona.



But I think the reason may be more Montpellier wanting Catalans than vice versa. We Wigan fans will make the town (or is it a city?) a fortune by swelling the hotels and eating and drinking them dry. It wouldn't work if it was a smaller club who's fans didn't travel. Catalans will be rewarded with investment.



Same reason why the Premier League talk about playing games in foreign countries. It's all to bring in investment.

Catalans show that they can draw a large crowd and the local government extends the stadium and helps them out more.
