3 This is normal procedure for any business going through administration. I have no doubt most of the staff including players, coaches, office, cleaning the whole lot will be made redundant and then they can 'cherry pick' if you will who they want 'back' and on what terms



It's a sad sad time for Wakey but for once I think the RFL have got it right in letting it play its course (I don't think they should have stepped in for Quins and Crusaders).



I also genuinely believe Wakey will (eventually after lots of hard work) be ok

The RFL can't step in because Wakefield have nothing to offer as security. The ground was sold by Ted Richardson to his own development company which then went bust. The ground is owned by an Irish Bank. I wouldn't believe anything you read in the Sun. Slightly more reliable is an article online by the Yorkshire Post which states that 14 admin staff were finished last night, but Kear and the players are still at the club and the takeover should be completed this morning.

I'll believe it when I see it on a proper website/hear about it in a proper newspaper.

Sad to see this is happening to Wakey, hopefully they can recover off the field but I feel its 99.99% certain that they won't be in Super League next year.



They have a coach who excels at conquering adversity but how long until he's poached by another club if they get rid of their coach?

I wonder if Salford are having a look at him with McRae very unpopular there, looking unhappy and (I think) out of contract at the end of the year.

As appoint Kear, they might as well keep McRae.



What is happening at Wakefield is horrible to see and must be heartwrenching for their fans. In real terms, it effectively finishes them as a superleague club after this season, if they make it that far.
