I think I read somewhere that the SL Show is filmed at some ungodly hour on a Sunday morning (7:30 I think), which could explain why there's hardly any guests from over here on

Think the MOTD commentator is Jackie Oakley, not a fan. I don't think the emotion is really their in her voice like say Alan Green.
TBH I.m not sure what off tube means but I think I could probably guess. Her commentary of the Leeds HKR match sounded like she wasn't sure whether she was supposed to be doing a "live" commentary or a summary over the pictures similar to Rod Studd's on Boots n all the tries. Either way she seemed to do a confused combination of the two and it sounded bad... very bad. |

That's it. "off tube" means they are commentating in a studio watching the tv. They are all like that on the Super League show. You can tell in how the speak they know a try is coming up. |

Week on week the Rhinos players sit there, representing their club to talk about their game (plus others).

thought I'd missed the mention of the Wigan game but seemingly not judging by the comments here. Can't make the game this week but got my ticket for the Hull derby tomorrow which I'd swap for the chance to go to Wigan in a heartbeat. Wasn't sure of the terminology regarding the commentary but it was really obvious it wasn't live. Got the impression she had limited knowledge of the players' names too. Dire but not surprising from such a crap programme. Any ideas why our highlights on there and the SL site seem to be getting shorter too? Glad I get the DVDs
