Tomkins is so exciting to watch at FB. I still worry about him getting hurt there, but last night the "selfish" part of me just watched his footwork and thought I was seeing something special.



Not many players in the world with that kind of footwork.

Well according to that RFL explanation the club has to nominate him to be eligible for it. Can't see them picking anyone else unless he asks them not to because he's already won it. If they do put him up and he doesn't win it'll be a travesty!

The club might nominate one of Farrell, Tuson, Mossop etc though

Tomkins won't win it. He's won it already and one of the main purposes of the award should surely be to put a rising star 'on the map' giving such a player a huge confidence boost in the process. Besides Tomkins has surpassed that type of award - those in contention for Man of Steel shouldn't be considered for Young Player of the Year in my opinion.

I know what you are saying.

But the RFL nominate the MOS contenders, and the players then vote on the nominees. But I don't think that Sam should be penalised (probably not the correct word) from being young player of the year because of his MOS nomination.

It'd be nice to see Sam win it, but I think it's more likely to go to a rookie from this season rather than someone who still qualifies age-wise, but is more experienced.



Foster, Farrell, Clarkson and Whitehead as already mentioned have done well this year.
