Having said that the ref did make some strange decisions, at one point after a spate of sinbins and a sending off he went for his pocket again, stopped and after holding his earpiece seemed to think better of it. Bob (the bloke on the side lines) got that one right and I'm not sure he would have given the other two sendings off in the game either.'"
Bob Derby? Now I know why he was on the earpiece, he's a ref supervisor (can't remember what the proper title is, been a while since I reffed). I know from first hand experience that he just gives general refereeing advice and lets the ref make the calls unless he's about to come up with a howler. |

The pitch is booked up on the saturday thats why there are Sunday/Monday games. I thought the Judes vs Ashton game is on the 24th, Monday? |

It was indeed Bob Derbyshire. He did the Pats vs Ashton game midweek so I'd say he's done the job at all the games. |

Enjoyed tonights game despite the scoreline. A very good cuthberts side were simply far too strong for Shevy. Shevy had a quite a few players missing though by the looks of it
