| Got to be Henry Paul. His silky skills were worth the entrance money alone.

Always felt sorry for Vaealiki in some ways. He was class when we signed him and then he suffered a career threatening injury shortly after from which he never recovered.'"
I agree. Vaealiki had some class about him - that was evident but he was clearly a broken down version of his former self.
Original question - Inga by a mile.
Really enjoyed watching Craig Smith play - fantastic prop at his best.

I wone the raffle at half time and got to choose a players shirt of my choice. It had to be Craig Smiths top! I will always remember walking onto the pitch with Gordon and asking Craig for his shirt, he took it off on the pitch and handed it to me and my wife. He was a monster and the shirt was dripping. He turned his attention to Luke Robinson and give him an almighty telling off, "you ask me if I *want* to take the ball in, don't just throw it at me"
It was one of them jaw dropping moments, Luke just looked at him and apologised.
*It was either want or am ready to*

| Got to be Deano, but so many are heroes, particularly Westy and Frano for different reasons.
Saw Deano and his family at Manchester Airport in August 94 - we caught the same shuttle down to Gatwick. Pretty certain Deano was returning to NZ as he was about to move to Auckland Warriors. I wanted to talk about Wigan's previous season (under Dorahy) and the consensus amongst the fans that Westy should get the coach's job full time ( he had been caretaker for the Brisbane game). Deano was very diplomatic - tbh his wife was more concerned about Deano pulling his weight looking after the children rather than talking to me! Sensible woman...!!

My favourite was Pongia, he was just so tough and intense he never got in a fight because he never needed to, whenever there was a kick off nobody went near him. I also think that his arrival brought out the best in Smith, they were an awesome combination when they were both on the field at the same time.
