Both Everton & Liverpool?

Why play the game at either Anfield or Goodison? Don't we have enough grounds closer to both clubs to accommodate the game? At the end of the day Saints are playing their "home" games at Widnes next season, so people will just have to make sure their get their ticket early enough. Besides where we play them as long as we beat them!

Its about forward thinking and marketing the game to non rugby fans, Widnes I beleive holds 13k, would it be better to play on bigger stage if more fans wanted to attend?.



IIRC have Saints played at Anfield before against Cas, perhaps Bilko could confirm this and what was the crowd figure.

I don't disagree with the forward thinking stance, I think we all agree we need to expand the game, but I can't for the life of me see that the game will fill either of these stadiums. That's why I suggested using other stadiums closer to both.

What I am hearing here in St.Helens is that Goodison Park is the preferred venue and Saints have close ties with Everton.

Depends on how they market the game aswell. It could end up being a very good crowd with alot of newbies, or it could end up with filling less than half the stadium and looking embarrassing.
