You need to face up to the fact that at the JJB you pay well below market value. You have the cheapest matchday tickets around, so when you go to a game elsewhere you will pay more.

Indeed.

| Quote odemwingie="odemwingie"When we play saints at home we get around 20,000 Wigan fans there maybe just under, but then surely this is the amount of people we should be marketing the game to, if they are willing to go to a big game like a derby then surely they wouldnt mind going to a semi final. Warrington have around 11,000 home fans when they play saints at home so it should be the same for them. Therefore if its a sellout of around 13,000 for this game they are missing out on selling around 18,000 other tickets. There are so many reasons why we should and COULD be aiming alot higher.'"
Surely playing it at the Galpharm wouldn't be too much faff for either set of supporters? If we can potentially attract 31,000 fans then the Galpharm would still be filled easily.
I think we have to rule out football stadiums as their respective seasons start around that weekend and Mark Lawrenson would have a fit if rugby was played on them the week before the Premiership starts

Agreed. At times it's a real embarrassment.

Can you imagine if you told football, Rah Rah or cricket fans that it would cost £18 to go to a major game? Would be a slightly different reaction wouldn't it?

Speaking of which I choked on me beer during Saturdays FA Cup Final when seeing the FA are selling tickets "from £29" for the England International against mighty Andorra!!!!!

| Do you think you will sell your allocation this time round? I hope so, would be great if full, gonna be a close game, too close too call. Wigan are used to playing in big pressure games more than us but about time we started.

There's a chance that something might be on at the Galpharm that Saturday afternoon, whether you would class it as football is open to discussion

Seeing as we have more season ticket holders than we'll get tickets I would be mightly peed off if we didn't.

| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"It's strange when they'll take a full round of fixtures(seen as a basic away game for most fans) on the road 200 miles away in a stadium that holds 67-75,000 yet they won't try and use abit of imagination for games as important as the Challenge cup Semi Finals.
Play a double header at a ground that holds around 40k, charge a flat rate of £15 a ticket with £5 for concessions and you'd get 30k plus on imo.
If they built on that every year it would become an event in itself and fans would look forward to their sides getting a crack at a semi final almost as much as a final.'"
It's a great idea but the BBC have already scheduled in the two games, one for Saturday and one for Sunday.

The BBC have done it for the Union Anglo-Welsh Cup in the past. This year both games were double headered at Ricoh Arena in Coventry with one match 2:30 on BBC 1 and the other 5:15 on BBC 2. 45-60min gap between games isn't good mind but in theory I guess they could do it.
