The Castleford game was the week before Quins away.

It is understandable. They have gone from the pinnacle to the very bottom of Reserve/Academy rugby in less than three years. There is something fundamentally wrong there.

They should be more concerned with how they have a massive catchment area, but don't seem to be able to find quality players.

| When I put it on their board I wasn't trolling.
getdownmonkeyman is very fair (for a wire fan ) and we have had this discussion before re Leeds.
What I was trying to do on there was to promote a discussion to see if the Leeds fans had any idea with what has gone wrong with their youth systems. It has been going downhill for the last four years. Warrington U18 put over 50 points on them last week.
As someone who watches a lot of U18 / U20 rugby I'd really want to know what was wrong if it was at Wigan.

| There does seem to be a big dirty cloud hanging over Leeds setup at youth level but nobody is saying anything over there. Somebody knows more than theyrer letting on.

I would cite the loss of John Bastian, but he was there up until a couple of years ago. One positive for ourselves in the fallout (can't think of any other way to put it), is the capture of a prop; Brooke Broughton, destructive runner with a good turn of pace. So it isn't all bad!

Is this a wind-up?
He's given a the platform of a column on the BBC's website and the only time he uses it is for platform to get air time to whatever is Saints' latest "woe-is-me" moaning.

| RE Pryce not going out on loan, its a case of some dont want him, and the ones who have put offers in (leigh and someone else cant remember) he has refused to play there.

| Rogues I think you are a bit harsh on Howarth as he did lay a few tries on yesterday ....at least 2 for pryce! Do agree with you about Charnley being a better player than Ainscough. Any news on the lad from Leeds who was carried off?

I haven't heard anything about the Leeds lad. The ambulance just arrived as we were leaving. My problem with Howarth is that he doesn't and never will have the pace for a stand off. He is better suited to 13 or at 9 where he had some really good games last season IMO.
Charnley as I have stated many times is the most improved player at the club. He is an Aussie coaches dream winger, big, fast and powerful.

Then Karl Pryce is an idiot. It would be much more beneficial for his career to be playing at a higher level rather than walking in tries for the Reserves.
