| The only thing of significance he did for Wigan was the last minute conversion at Widnes which effectively gave us the title in one of his first few games for us.
It was on Live on Saturday Afternoon on that ITV RL show with Clive Tyldesley.
What's Bobby Goulding made of?
<Aussie> Ahhhh......Sugar and Spice and all things nice!! (Was that Brian Smith)?

Goulding was world class. The is no doubt about that!
Even the Aussies said that bobby was pure class.
I bet you would love him at scrumhalf in that poor mid-table side of yours.

| Although world class may be debatable I think there's no denying he was a very good player.

A decent kicker but basically as slow as a carthorse. That, combined with his off-field antics put him firmly in the 'thank God he's not at Wigan any more' bracket.
The Aussies and Kiwis laughed at him because he was almost embarrassingly easy to get sent off.

| Ahh, the Bobby Goudling memories
The sly look round then smack Gary Freeman in the face trick. In a televised Test match. Still wondering how you didn't get away with that one?
The 80m Mal Meninga interception from his long pass
Almost knocking Edwards head off at Central Park playing for Leeds (cost him a tour spot I believe)
Should have been the second man sent off at Wembley playing for Widnes v Wigan. Even Russel Smith admits he bottled that one.
Pre-season bonding trip car 'alterations' whilst at Leeds
The list goes on

I liked Bobby, he had bags of talent but was basically a 'loose cannon' to put it mildly. I used to talk to him when he came into the petrol station i was working part time in while i was at uni, lets just say he always gave the impression of extremely high self importance - and that's putting it politely.
It's good however to see him at France and if Friday is any reflection of things he could do a good job there. I like the fact in a coaching role he's getting a chance to impart some of the passion he still obviously has for the game - compare it to the expressions (or lack of) on TS's face during the same game
