| 9 I think if they are the choices. Don't think he had a bad game though. Stefan Marsh stood out for me. His work effort outstanding. Feka didn't play because of the injuries the night before apparently.

| Quote cadoo="cadoo"Then Karl Pryce is an idiot. It would be much more beneficial for his career to be playing at a higher level rather than walking in tries for the Reserves.'"
I'm sure that whatever the full truth and facts of the situation are with regards to Pryce, it's with the backing of the current coaching and management, otherwise I doubt he'd even be getting picked for the reserves.

Marsh reminds me very much of a young Martin Gleeson, but I would love too see him get a game at fullback.

Apparently he went to the hospital for a "precautionary check" according to Leeds U20s coach Willie Poching. Sounds more like they are taking no risks that a real serious injury. Hope so anyway.

Of course it's all hypothetically really. I have complete faith in the backroom staff at the moment.

That is nonsense.
Pryce can't refuse to go elsewhere. if Wigan want him to go on loan he goes, simple as that. He is an employee, no more no less.

Paul, I think you've got your tinted specs on again, One of points I was trying to make was at least someone is giving publicity to the game, something I'm afraid that is sadly lacking, John Wilkin is recognised as intelligent and articulate. whilst I respect your opinion that he's biased towards Saints, I find that amusing to say the least (what do you really expect from him?), however it would not be a democratic country we live in if we can't express our opinion. Roll on Friday!!

I can't believe that's true.
He's an employee of Wigan RLFC, his contract is with Wigan RLFC.
I wouldn't have to go on secondment to another business if my boss thought it was the right thing to do, I would be very much within my rights to refuse.

| I think somebody in the League Weekly has got something against Wigan's under 20's squad.
Just been reading the paper this morning and they have got Wigan in 6th place even though they have 6 points. They have been placed lower than Salford with 6 but a lower points difference and Wire who have 5 points and HKR on 4 points. (Mind you they have Saints in second place behind Hull when Saints have a better points difference.) I wonder who proof reads these articles etc.?

So you're telling me that a club can sign a player and then, against his will, ship him out to another club in another county for a year?
Unless that is explicitly written into his contract, I'd be staggered if you could get that past a decent employment lawyer.
And when Pryce, for example, makes it clear to Terry Matterson, for example, that he doesn't particularly want to play for Cas - do Wigan then force Cas to take a player who doesn't want to play for them?
If Pryce could be forced to go out on loan, I'm sure he would be playing elsewhere than wigan's reserves.

They've also got Wigans points difference wrong
Wigan beat Bradford by 20, Cas by 18, Leeds by 54 and lost by 6 to Hull.
I know it's a long time ago but that was a difference of 86 when I went school.
