How many were there for his debut at Widnes? Bloody cold wednesday evening, Inga came on in the 2nd half, looked about two stone overweight and waaaayyy of the pace. I remember after 10 minutes he was huffing and puffing about with his hands on his knees.
From that to the pique of fitness he was when he stormed through about 4 Aussie defenders at a packed Central Park.
Awesome and a great credit to him for knuckling down, a true winner (on and off the field)!!

Inga is an honorary Wiganer and there is no greater honour in life.
I had the privilege of training in a gym alongside Shaun Edwards a few times when he moved to London.
I was struck by his slim build and particularly his girly little calf muscles....but he was immense in the effort he put in and the amount of metal he could shift; a genuinely scary individual in his intensity.

However, it is one thing to be a part of a team but quite another thing to contribute to it as well. A team full of champions is no promise of a champion team. In most sports you always have your prima donnas. At Wigan, individuals had to learn to let go of their egos for the team to succeed.

I was there with my dad. Standing behind the post in the open rain. He looked off the pace as he ran on. It was a try scoring debut wasnt it? |
