Even so, I cannot see Whelan allowing us to play a home cup tie on the Fri night, and my blood would boil if we were forced to play a home tie "away".



I'm hoping for an away tie at a lower-league club with a large capacity - Sheffield if they still play at the Don Valley would be good.

They play some at Don Valley and some at Bramall Lane, either would do.

Barrow at Barrow would be nice had a great day last year

The same place they hold the NRC finals I believe. It looks good too as the stand on the far side seems to be finished now too.

Edit: No they play their games in Lytham @ Woodlands Memorial Ground, but i'm sure we can get that switched for a big game.

I thought they changed their home games to Woodlands at Lytham?

Blackpool pleasure beach anyone

Not sure how likely Blackpool getting a game switched would be, would depend on how BFC are feeling at that time and whether they're close to the play-offs etc and wanting to protect the pitch. Good little ground is the Woodlands, and possibly the only RL ground that boasts home-made lasagne in it's catering, but I can't quite see it coping with a few thousand from Wigan somehow.

according to wikipedia fylde can hold 6,500 so maybe, would love wigan at home, if it was possible though, i'd love it to be moved to bloomfield road, and push for a sellout (mainly wigan fans but still)
