After his 1st two performances of the season we are starting to see the world class centre that we signed hope he has a stormer today and gets a couple of tries and shows wire they were stupid to sell him to us

I have been impressed with Gleeson's performances, I think a number of people on here stated that we needed a coach who could get the best of what we have got in terms of players, Micheal and the backroom staff are cetainly doing that and long may it continue.

Not stupid, Gleeson wanted to go and whats thye point of keeping a unhappy player.Its not good for team morale,we got a decent price for him plus a half decent fb in Mathers.

I would love gleeson to put in a man of the match performance tonight.

From what we are seeing from all the lads this year i think it is showing the weakness' in BN's coaching and ability to motivate the Wigan team, I also think a major part of the improvement is down to us actually recruiting a real conditioning coach not the mate of a lad whose brother used to play at Wigan and once attended an aerobics class.

Gleeson hasn't been world class for about 3 years, hence nobody wanted him in the NRL and not getting a look in at the 4 nations. The deal was good for both sides.

Great First Post... Nobody on this thread has said that Gleeson is world class at the moment, but if he keep on improving and is showing the form week in week out then I see no reason why he should'nt be included in the England squad.. Shenton and Ryan Atkins are England quality Centres... your having a laugh!!

True. He was a terrific player who has just been going throgh the motions since he left Stains. Best thing for all, without doubt, as was the move for Mathers.

He didn't get a look in for England because Tony Smith held a grudge against him. Thats fair enough. Smith was the main man and he made the choices but to leave out Englands best available centre(Senior best overall but wasn't available) was a poor error regardless of which club Gleeson wanted to play for.

I hope Gleeson takes out any frustrations tonight. He's looked razor sharp in the first 2 games and is ready to have a huge year by the looks of him.

Gleeson can be awesome on his day,he just never had many of those at Wire.

Watch out for Atkins tonight he's not done much attack wise so far so tonight could be the night.

I rate Gleeson when he's interested but that deal of Mathers and 100k was very good.
