Just back from the game and it was outstanding entertainment. As a fan of both clubs I believe I've seen the most entertaining contests involving both in the last month. The good Friday derby and then today were incredible.
It's good for the town and as Lenagan said ourselves if Wigan Athletic stay up. I know the banter goes back and forth between both sets of fans but Latics going down would be nothing to celebrate.
A huge day in store next Sunday with a cup tie for us and a relegation decider for Latics. I'm hoping I'll be one very happy bloke come 6pm on Sunday.

No it's in regard to the upkeep of the stadium, if they go down there wont be the same funds available to maintain the stadium to the same standard as it is now.
e.g. next time they wreck our pitch if they were in the Championship the pitch would not get relaid, and we would have to make do with a less than ideal pitch to play, just an example. IL did say the up keep of the stadium is covered 50/50 from both sides. |
