......is he out of contract at the end of the year?

Rumour (unsubstanciated) on our boards that we've signed him for next season.

Already mentioned on here, he is out of contract and was happy with the deal offered by Trinity but seems to have had a better offer from Harlequins. All unsubstantiated though.

He is out of contract and the rumour is that he's had his head turned by a better offer from Quins. Would be sorry to see Olive go think he has improved greatly while with us and now manages to keep hold of the ball nearly all the time!

Don't be suprised if this is true as Oli has moved around quite a lot during his career.



He seems to be one of those players who never sets down any roots at a club and has a span of about 2 years before moving on.

and now it seems Harlequins

in todays sun apparently!!!

Apparently he is good mates with Jason Golden.

Who Golden, Wilkes or both of them?!



Big loss Wilkes has become the type of prop every team needs the grafter and he also seems to have cut out those loose carries that troubled him up to this season with every club he has played at.



You will get much more quality graft out of Tronc but Wilkes would have made for a nice supporting act to back him up.

Strictly speaking I think the lower club movements were an attempt to develop to get to the highest level. Can't remember him at Hudds but Wigan was only a loan when they were struggling with injuries and Widnes were good but obviously weren't top flight so wanted to give it a go with us.

Wouldn't have thought so - nowt to do with the Sun or any newspaper!

So there goes another rumour, I heard that he was going because he had found a better paper round. Ah well.
