I know this might seem petty but i've always really enjoyed watching RL so as well as going home and away i have tried to attend the internationals / grand finals and all the rest where possible - however as a wakey fan i have kind of lost interest in all this mainly due to franchising and the fact that teams like wakefield / Cas don't appear wanted.



My current attitude is that if the RFL don't value us as supporters of the heartland clubs why should i show up for the big RL events that they promote - to that end i won't be going to the Internationals (advertsied on the trinity website) if wakey or cas get kicked out (as niether deserve it) - my view is that wakey and cas fans should boycott them....

Although I understand your feelings on this, it's not how I feel. It won't really make a massive difference apart from you no longer enjoying the big games live.

I do the same as you and have been going to Grand Finals (or premiership finals before that) Challenge Cup Finals and Internationals since the 70s. Never miss. I love them and loved them even when Wakefield were in the lower division (in fact I went to more neutral games then too.



I'm a rugby league supporter as well as a Wakefield supporter.

I feel just the same and I'm not even saying I'm right it's just how I feel. Twenty years ago I went to all internationals even though Trinity were never heavily represented, it just felt right. Not now, I honestly don't care and wouldn't go even if it were free these days.



As a Trinity fan I no longer feel a part of the wider game, just like Fev or Dewsbury fans or any others who don't feel part of the gang anymore.

I'm a Wakefield supporter and a rugby league supporter, if Wakey packed up i would walk away.

Same goes for me.

I've had enough of the ridiculous meddling that's changed the sport I played and watched into a sterilised shadow of the exciting skill laden and gladiatorial contest it was in the 80s & 90s. I cant stand watching games where a closed season meeting of the referees who never laced a boot in anger dictates how the game is going to be coached and played by the real people who matter.

The introduction of Franchising the neglect of the lower division clubs and the near amputation of Cumbria sickens me.
