| If anyone thinks voting a Conservative government in will get Trinity a new ground then they are deluded, they do not care, they will not go against their business pals.
The only way WMDC is likely to take any notice is to vote against the Box party in the local elections

Exactly this is not a national issue and it matters not who is in government.
The power to make this happen is at local level and the only way to get justice is to get rid of box and his gang.
Anyone who cares about our club and votes Labour at a 'LOCAL LEVEL' needs to understand the consequences.

My vote won't be for them either nationally, I'm disillusioned not deluded.
My point was that as a labour voter nationally & locally for many years the way our club has been shafted by Box has lead to me leaving the party I have previously supported. His refusal to even meet our chairman to discuss the current situation is appalling.

Appalling but not altogether surprising.

| Mr Box may be a big fish in WMDC but he is a minnow as far as the National Labour party goes.
I fail to see how not voting labour in the general election will change the situation regarding Trinity.
I have been a labour voter all my life, local and national (and i am old enough to remember the glory days) but this time even i will not vote for Box
my grandad WILL turn in his grave

| Quote vastman="vastman"Don't get your logic at all on that one. TBH Box and his corruption needed removing long before the NM fiasco blew up.'"
My logic is that, whatever you vote in the general election will have zero effect on Peter Box. Better to vote for an MP who has a vested interest in exerting some pressure on the council than one with no such interest. Box may well have needed to be removed a long time ago but he'll only go after a council election - is he up for re election this week? If so vote him out. An anti Labour vote in the GE is just spitting in to the wind.

Like I said earlier, I'll cast my vote for UKIP as a protest, I know full well it won't change the result but questions may be asked it Labour majorities slip and margins of victory are lessened. Who knows, someone might put 2+2 together and spell it out for Box!
When the local elections come around I'll protest vote again and maybe that'll have more impact!

Is anyone suggesting that? It's a case of putting pressure on Box and his cronies and hold them to account. Btw the Labour Party won't go against there business pals and vested interests.

The thing is i believe P Box will take more notice of pressure from his own party than from any opposition party,... btw i think you have a point about business interests

| Matters not who votes for who, if Yorkcourt are dead set against building the stadium come what may then it ain't getting built, period. We have seen the official line the council are taking, what is theirs? Any public statement?

I doubt you see anything publicly from YC.
Their stance is that they are willing to offer a contribution. How much and over how long is a mute subject!
Our concern is that a deal was done over a Community Stadium, not a pile of bank notes. Any deal needs to be of sufficient banknotes to be able to realise that Community Stadium, whether that be at BV or NM, but the deal says NM, so that is what we are asking for!
