I agree. I think we're out, and more to the point, I think we already know it. This isn't based on any insider info, just my perception of how the last few weeks have panned out.
I think AG's plan to temporarily redevelop BV was the last throw of the dice. Now, the on-field performances of recent weeks, coupled with the uninspiring "exciting new signing", indicate to me that we may be resigned to our fate and are just going through the motions. The Club1873 lottery is for the young players and the future, and based on a long-term plan. It's a good scheme and a good plan, but it won't save us in the short term.
Given what others have posted on another thread about a 12 month review, it seems even more evident to me that our cards have already been marked. The RFL can monitor the situation at Crusaders, and if the club fails in the next 12 months - which, if things don't pick up drastically for them soon, they may do (sadly, because I don't want to see them or any other RL club fail) - then they have a ready replacement. If the Cas development of WR doesn't come to fruition and we get the nod from the PI, again, they have another club prepared and waiting in the wings.
I'd love this to be a totally wrong take on the situation, and we end up getting a license, but I just can't see it.
