They really taught us a lesson on ball control and managing the ruck.

All out back three had terrible games with no real pressure really.

Goes without saying that the worst we have been in SL so far. Even though the ref was poor we can’t be that careless with the ball and expect to get a result. That being said, even after such a poor display we weren’t exactly blown away by them. 

Not sure what our wingers were doing today and Saints dealt with our backline very well. I sit in front of the opposition coaching staff and as soon as Russell came on at hooker the instructed everyone to run straight at him, it worked and coincided with 10-15 mins where we struggled to control the ruck. 

Stand outs for me were Vagana, Hood, Atoni who was impressive for his first game and I actually thought Hall played well and made good yards from deep. Our pack as a whole were good actually.

Dust ourselves off and move onto Wolves next week now.

No one has said it and maybe I’m wrong but the performance today struck me as one from a team who were underdone in preparation.

I wonder if the bug that Trueman and Hall had last week has prevented the team from sharpening up their play during the week or maybe one or two players have also been affected.

Correct, but on the balance of probability don't you think he'd have been expecting the ball in his arms and not up on his shoulders while concentrating on the opposition winger and centre, and while I'm not a lip reader I'd bet money that the words from Hall's mouth were by way of an apology for such a terrible pass just my opinion  of course.
