Can I ask what happens if you dont get the outline but it gets sent to central governmant and the batted back to WCC?

Won't you then get the outline after the 22nd?

Will this deal still be on the table if you dont get a straight YES tommorrow?

Have a look at the facilities to be built and ask yourself if you still think its "too little".

No other SL club would have on-site facilities that shape up to NM, with no debts hanging over us and a new BoD on the way SL would be very foolish to turn it's nose up.



IMO a positive outcome should be welcomed across the region.

We won't get a straight YES in the morning, we still have outstanding issues with the site being partially on greenbelt land. It will be given a "mindful to approve", at which point it is passed to the secretary of state, who in turn has 28 days to call an inquiry or pass it back to WMDC. At which point WMDC can grant OPP, on the basis we have resolved highways issues- And I would imagine the travel plan negotiations will be ongoing.

It will be a fairly long process.



I've been told to expect them to break for lunch at 1pm, then resume at 2pm.



There are 5 speakers on each side - each has 3 minutes and is then open to questions from the councillors.



There are also only 35 places available for the public gallery - for each side.



I know who at least one of the speakers is!

There will be no approval tomorrow.



The committee can do 1 of 3 things:-



1) Defer to a later date- Unlikely

2) Reject- Who knows, but probably unlikely

3) Mind to approve - most likely, but the decision is, in a sense, taken out of the Council's hands unless the Goverment Office send it back which could take a few weeks yet.

If they decide to call it in because of the green belt and other concerns, public pressure etc, and it goes to a public inquiry the decision could be many months off .(I think 76 weeks is the target period)

seen the plans and they are not too little. but i fear time has run out for wakey in SL. have had the past 3 years or so that had franchise and dont think a last minute plan will sway the vote. welcome to the championship in 2012.

I dont think I was very clear I understand all that I was asking will the offer still be on the table to pay the HMRC by the benefactor when you finally get a YES decision if you dont get it tommorrow?
