Ben did come across very articulate and had well thought out reasonable answers not typical of a rugby player and especially one his age. In particular his answer about the criticism that we are slow to get out after playing the ball and only make 2 yards.

Good point. Although everyone does it, we have far too many Aussies with European passports to be having a go at anyone else for the same thing - that and we've got a 130+ year head start on the Crusaders.

Did anyone ask him what to do when the other team are making headway down the right flank and Gleeson and Blanch have out positioned themselves?????

Yes; the question was asked - "why do teams keep targeting that flank and what are we doing about it?"



I think Ben replied that all teams look for what they perceive as weaknesses and target them throughout a match; JK added, as he did many times throughout the evening, that the players work very hard in training, they give 100% effort and he's sure that when we grind out the next win, those players confidence will return and they'll play better.

It's slightly disengenuous to be snidey about so-called 'keyboard warriors' not taking their chance to maul the panel. The questions were submitted in writing and selected by the compere - there was no opportunity to ask questions from the floor or to challenge the answers that were given.



Overall, the tone was rather jovial and happy-clappy; some tough questions did get through, but JK answered them like a true politician and received a smattering of polite applause, then moved on.



I actually thought JD gave the best value; he was honest, funny and very articulate. Smurf was hopeless but harmless; BJ and Millard looked bored and a bit embarassed. Ben Gledhill was a confident, articulate young man who gave some very thoughtful answers - I too thought his response to the question about 1-out rugby was surprisingly comprehensive.

Last nights Q&A was just like "Boots n all" when Eddie keeps asking you to email but only reads about 2 emails out.It was the same with the questions too, The host only read out the ones that wouldn't cause a problem. I asked 3 questions on my paper but he only read one out
