At a guess he's probably not far off. From what we can gather we are now debt free whereas crusaders chose to honour some of there's (hence the 700k debt to RFL). For us to be completely debt free and crusaders still have debt and us both get the same fine would be slightly unfair. Although if it were reversed I'm sure that would be the outcome.

Crusaders owed both the RFL and Wakefield money. They are paying the RFL back but not Wakefield. That's why they are only being deducted 4 points not 6. They have effectively bought 2 points.

Basically what I said. Whereas we are presumably debt free so will get the full 6 points.

What do the Crusaders owe money to Trinity for?

Alternatively; if he's being a "know all", he could start his statement with: "I know this for a fact....."

Don't know what it's for, and apparently it's only £534, but it's not the point, they still owe us money!!!

I think that we should be deducted 4 but i get the feeling that we will be deducted 6.

TBH if the RFL have any sense they will deduct us 4 points to be "even handed", given that whether we get -4 or -6 is not going to affect our chances of a new SL licence (which are zero).



The interesting thing listening to the Rimmer interview was that he referred to adminisitration as carrying a "weighting" and I wouldn't mind betting that being an "expansion club" also carries a significant weighting meaning that they can legitimately say that based on the criteria ours is the weakest application.
