I agree the season is over now which is good as we thought we would be battling relegation.so why not play people who could still be here next season would it not be better to play the likes of crowther anikin shulver jowitt Johnston instead of gilmour etc

The final game run in looks beyond us with only our 3 home games against Hull Kr, Salford and Huddersfield looking winnable if we can put the wheel back on and we're 4 points adrift of 8th. Time to have a look at the overall squad.



Hull KR seem to have the easier run in for the 8th position now.

The temperature was too high for the team that we put out, people like Moore,Ali,Raleigh,Gilmour are just too far gone in years to be competing at that level in that heat. Time to look to next season and blood some of the young ones. Game time now could be invaluable come next season.Reaching the eight isn't important this season,next season is the one that counts.So start the process now.

Yes we lost but just to sum things up even when Catalan were not doing well at the start of the season it was still a big ask for any side to go and win over n their home turf.Heavens above Wigan only beat them last week because they imploded in the second half due to indiscipline.Yes we looked as if we had taken a step back in terms of effort and game plan but even at our best it was a big ask with them regaining form and the heat.

Remember Catalan beat St.Helens 42:0 on the 14th June this year! We got blown away by a very strong powerful Catalan pack and we've signed one of their best forwards on a 2 year contract!
