I was trying to think of a scientific way to make an educated guess about it and all I could come up with was....
2009 when we were playing awful this game got just over 10000, going by the reduced number of season passes and the poor attendance for the Leeds game multiplied by the current "economic climate" I think this could be the first sub 10k crowd for a long time.

Nobody seems to know but most guesses seem to be around the 8k mark. Seriously the only people I can think of who would actually buy a ticket for this game are the die-hard FC fans who couldn't get a season pass for some reason, and how many of those could their actually be? |

The way we have been performing I think we're lucky to get over 9,500. I wonder if the club will be giving out any freebies. I remember they used to give out tickets for free to rugby clubs and schools in Hull, especially against teams like crusaders and quins. |

They announced 8,000 season ticket sales just after New Year and AFAIA there's been no further updates.
As for Friday unless the club comes up with an amazing offer or they give a few hundred away to schools then I doubt there'll be over 10,000 there.
