| At what point do we shift it from Agar's fault to the players? Can Agar be blamed for players not being able to catch the ball/giving away stupid stupid penalties?
People say Agar should be out because
a) He can't motivate the team - He clearly can because they came out in the second half all guns blazing, if they didn't want to play for him they wouldn't have being trying so hard.
b) His tactics are rubbish, 1 up rugby - Don't think anyone can say that after the last 2 games, we look like we are a lot better in attack with Tony/Raynor back in the team.
c) His interchanges - Much improved tonight for me.
Only thing you can say tonight is Radford playing 13.
How much can we say it's down to Agar? These are mostly the same set of players that Sharp had, who got him sacked. Are the players just not good enough?

| Agar picks the team, he is meant to motivate the team, he is meant to set the tactics...
he's is rubbish at everything.
this team isn't a title winning team, it isn't even top4, the squad is too imbalanced and there are too many average plodders...but a good coach would be a getting a few % more out of everyone and we'd at least we'd be around 5th-8th...not battling it out with Celtic and Salford for the wooden spoon.

| It's easier to get rid of 1 coach then 6 or 7 players though.
We need a change from top to bottom. The whole culture of the club needs changing.
Agar is not up to that job. Nothing will change next year.

good post, a good manager can motivate and lead a team Agar can do neither.

What was wrong with the tactics tonight? The reason we lost tonight was because of players knocking on and giving away very stupid penalties. I mean the try from Broughton, how do you coach a player not to try and throw away the ball when being tackled?

| Its 90% Agar's fault. He is responsible for this team. We have the players despite the injuries to be compertitive against teams like Wakefield, no dispreact intended to them.
But poor fitness, poor defence, poor offence, poor subbing, poor formation, and clueless attack in a team that actually look like their frustrated as well is inexcusable. The player have to take some of it on their shoulders, but its the lack of the experience in the coaching role that is our main problem IMO.
Saying that when our new coach comes in (almost inevitable IMO), he should be allowed to have a clear out without the least amount of restrictions possible. Not because of the players attitudes particularly, they do have a no give up attitude, but because they are the wrong players and again that comes down to coaching.

Will it help? The problem seems to be the same from Kear/Sharps era.
