After this season & next who really needs to be out the door for us to really kick on.. I know this will sound to some but I really think we need to seriously think of getting shot of Danny Houghton when his contract is up.

whilst he can & does do long minutes and is always at the top of the tackle count, I think his distribution at DH has a hugely negative impact especially on the halves.

I like Danny, he comes across as a great bloke but his game isn't going to get us up into the top 4, I just don't think that he will progress any further than where he is now.



I'll throw in Yeaman, Whiting, Carvell and Kent into that as well..

Out of interest why Whiting? Agree about Yeaman & reckon Carvell will retire. Kent will probably sign with Doncaster IMO doesn't look to have a future with us.

I'd have to agree about Houghton I feel Josh hodgson has progressed into a better all round hooker and for us to be a consistent top 4 side we need more quality at 9

Totally agree. Hodgson should never have been released.

I think the forwards are good enough to challenge anyone. Its what's behind them that needs a shake up.



Ask yourself how many would get in Leeds, Saints, Wigan or Huddersfield for that matter. This is where we need to wield the axe.

Entitled your opinion, but don't agree with Houghton and Whiting.



Whiting isn't having a good season as previous, but there are factors, such as playing out of position and limited game time, he needs to play in the backrow and him been moved about has made his game suffer this year, one game this season he got 20mins.



Houghton is a very good SL hooker, if available a few of the top teams including Leeds would be after him, his game isn't perfect, but he still loads, look at his stats this year and not just his defensive stats, he us having a good season and already scored the most try's in a season.



As said our pack is certainly good enough, it's the back and possible the halfs that aren't good enough, also doubts over the coaching.



I don't we are far off the top teams in SL.

Regarding Houghton, defensively he's in the top 3 in SL. - IMO.



Offensively , he needs someone,who can identify his weaknesses and change his core skills

ie ,passing speed & accuracy,also his decision making.



Its not only Houghton in the squad, there are a lot of players,whose core skills are not up to standard, also which is more of a concern, is the youth,



Are their core skills up to the required level??



When Gentle was dismissed, I suggested Brian Smith for the role, as he is proven at improving core skills.



I am not advocating replacing Radford, who IMO, has improved our attack more in 6 months, than Agar & Gentle did in 6 years.

Said it before but I believe we will never be a top side with Houghton as our no.1 hooker
