A lot of the background paperwork already exists although it may need tweaking slightly, accounts set up etc, getting the basics running again shouldnt be to hard. Creating and sustaining membership I suspect, from past experience, will be. |

mainly as Ian said above.
The only 'basic commitment' was to attend a monthly committe meeting, a lot of other stuff can be done over the phone/email etc
Apart from that it it down to how much time people want to put in and what they want they organisation to achieve.
is it just to air peoples views?
Would they want to do other things like fans forums, arrange fund raising events, coach trips, Non rugby trips, fun days, race nights, attend club dinners.
If there does seem the interest then i can call an AGM / Open Meeting at Charleston or wherever ?? (anyone can attend), with a favoured date of Thursday 9th July - to give us time to publicise it |

I'd suggest getting the meeting set and hammering out what people want then, and take things from there.

That sounds like a plan Is it worth contacting the club first to see if they would recognise a NEW independant fans group? Or is it a case of building a membership in order to put pressure on the club to recognise us? |

I'd join, but I couldn't really do much. I'm 16, so I can't drive, and therefore I wouldn't be able to get to the meetings, which kinda stumps me.

we need to be independant, its upto them to recognise the group and that will only come time.
I would not want the club involved in setting it up in anyway.

Oh I wasn't suggesting that, it was more a question of if they would entertain the possiblity of at least recognising an Independant supporters group. Without any sort of dialogue from the club I would imagine it will be very difficult to not only start the group but to maintain an interest in it. |
