He did, but not in quite the way you might be thinking...
Quote berrigans bitch="Ogre"“More so though, I was left disappointed that the superb support of hundreds of fans who had stayed behind to clap the team at the end of the game was undermined by just four or five other people at the opposite end of the stand and I felt that was disrespectful to their fellow supporters, players and coaches.”'"

| Quote garry brindley="garry brindley"People are entitled to protest against the coach, and O'Meley is entitled not to like it.
I think the claim that it is 'inappropriate' to do it at a match is ludicrous though, it's by far the most relevant place. Where would people like them to do do it? In the KC car park on a Thursday afternoon?'"
It's been mentioned a few times that a demonstration outside the entrance used by club officials might be worthwhile.

That makes more sense, and I am fine with his opinion. If things do not improve soon god knows how he will react to 1000s chanting Agar Out

Not half as worthwhile as doing it at a match and ten times as hard to organise.

| The use of banners is always going to be controversial and I can well understand waving the banner in front of a player after he has just lost a match is hardly a wise move. Banners will be banned from the KC Friday you can bank on that now and you can also bank on the club becoming a whole lot more agrressive in there defence of Rich Agar.
This is going to very bitter in the coming weeks with fans drawn up on both sides and there was never any need for this. This is not fans being hasty or too quick off the mark, this has been building for a couple of years and most fans have had enough. The club are becoming more distant from the fans almost daily and the war of words as started, this will only damage the club. Fans will walk away for one reason or another now and the board will bleat on about dis- loyal fans.

| I dont see why people had to extend the truth either....he didnt flick v's, just vented anger....i was specifically looking at the players reactions at the...ahem...fans...with the banner when we went to Huddersfield.
Great work o'meley for at least showing you give a damn and for saying sorry to the sensative ones......

Yes at least we know that he (and hopefully most of the others) do actually care.
I would rather see the sort of reaction O'Meley gave than have the players shrug their shoulders and troop off to the dessing room thinking about nothing more than their wages and their next beer.

| At the end of the day the Banner has done the job that I presume was intended to do and that was to bring to the clubs attention that fans whether large or small in number are unhappy at the current situation. Whether it makes any difference to the end result of Agar being relieved of his duties only time will tell. I can not honestly remember a time when feelings were running so high and fans actually protesting to have the coach removed, even under Peter Walsh in the days of Lloyd & Co.
If the board try to shut the fans up/brush them off I think it would be a huge error in judgement and will only escalate an already messy situation.

and what about the players disrespecting the fans who paid to go to cardiff and were rewarded them with a 15 min performance of rugby and 65 mins of dross

| I think O'Meleys comments are devisive and will do him no favours in regard to his relationship with the fans. His on-field actions were "spur of the moment", but this blog is purposefully constructed to try and belittle those that had the courage to stand up and say what they thought on sunday. You can take it from me Mr O'Meley that there were more than five or six people in that stand who want Agar gone ASAP.
