| Quote knocker norton="knocker norton"I may have slightly black and white tinted glasses but I think a good coach would relish the opportunity to take the reins with the current Hull FC squad. Fully agree. Someone mentioned before that Noble's preference would be for Hull . Not sure if he's right, but if so it's surely because of the wealth of untapped potential.

But, would good coach relish having to be a yes man?

Can a coach be good and a yes man simultaneously?

We may well find out soon...
To varying degrees lots of head coaches on both sides of the world are yes men to some extent.

| Without trawling through 9 pages of this topic, the answer to it is as simply as " we are S**T".
We are in the same predicament as wire with Lowes and the sooner something changes the better, Agar and co can put as much spin on the current situation but the fact remains that we are miles away from were a club like ours should be.
I don't expect to win every game (would be nice) but what i do expect is a coach who can change things that are obviously a problem, the only consistent bit of our team is that we consistently make the same fundamental errors week in week out with no change, to name a few -
No support play (grates me no end)
P1ss poor kicking game
Clueless inside opp 20 m
Poor passing and not spreading the ball ( we pass the ball more when the players decide who is going to kick to touch from a penalty)
If we do any training its pretty obvious that it doesn't cover these areas.
The tip of the balance imo is that we won alot of close games last year when we probably shouldn't of done which probably painted over the cracks whereas this years performances were we aren't getting the close wins probably reflects that we haven't progressed.

Something similar could be engineered at Hull, surely, to keep everyone happy?'"
How long did that last though? History says you can't bring someone in above the head coach and keep everyone happy, the two things tend to be mutually exclusive.
I personally agree with those who say it should be a clean sweep of the coaching staff this time. We've tried keeping continuity with the backroom staff and so far it would appear to not be working, not to mention that they've obviously been learning from substandard coaches anyway. Bring in a completely brand new coaching staff at first team level at least.

I know this. Not sure or really care if it lasts - as far as I'm concerned it's a short to medium term solution to get us out of the rut, with everyone saving face. We all know the new bloke would be running the show. Not too bothered what happens 8 months down the line with Agar - if he makes himself invaluable, great. If not, well...
