There were people wanting the same treatment for Tom as Craig Hall, you included. Difference is, Hall could never make a tackle like that.

People were calling for Tom's head earlier on in the season and he has truly shut them up.

You are right, but TBF not many players in SL could have made that tackle.

No. People were pointing out that Tom Briscoe didn't get the same treatment as Craig Hall when he made mistakes. I can't speak for everyone else but I personally wanted Hall to get the same treatment as Briscoe, not the other way around.



I honestly can't recall more than one poster calling for Briscoe's head, but feel free to prove otherwise. Or admit you made that bit up. Your choice.

I remember quite a few moaning about Briscoe, tbf.

There's a difference between moaning about him and calling for his head. I remember posts about his problems under the high ball (which he seems to have addressed) and I remember the comparisons between his apparent immunity from criticism and the treatment Craig Hall got. I don't remember numerous or vociferous calls for him to be dropped or released.

Admit it, you ordered a gangland-style hit on him which was only foiled because Agar and Whiting heard from a snout that one of the Fev mafia was in trouble.

Briscoe, rightly in my opinion, is treated as a senior player now in terms of selection. International as a teenager, 5 year deal at the club and along with Houghton the best prospect at the club and a player absolutely key to long term planning. Agar is therefore not going to drop him on the back of a couple of poorer games provided he is addressing the issues at training (and we hear that Briscoe is a very good trainer).

Hall is treated IMO like other fringe players, Burnett for example, Washbrook (who Agar said would have dropped out this weekend had Fitz been available), Turner (who's been dropped during the season on the basis of form) and Whiting. When selected, Turner and Whiting have (to use one of Agar's favourite phrases) "earned the right" to figure in the 17. Hall, Burnett and Washy haven't quite and therefore aren't automatic picks.

So "senior" players shouldnt be dropped then?
