But why make (potential) trouble for ourselves? In a squad that's already struggling to achieve what it is capable of, adding a potentially disruptive influence to the mix is a very risky strategy. |

| why did leeds ship tansey off to oz and why did the oz club ship him back to leeds. then sell him to hull £30,000 and hull sacked him after 3 chance's so i got told, then tansey end up at dewsbury for afew games and now at crusaders for 18 months will he last the 18 months  |

Until he does anything wrong at Hull I am prepared to give him a chance. We have a good set of players now who are not heads and turn up for training in the right state.
I am pretty sure IF he comes to Hull then we will have told him exactly what is expected and I am also sure we would have no problem getting rid of him IF he breaches our rules.
Give him a chance, why not.

The flip side is that when a risky decision comes off the rewards are often greater. |

The way i see it,It's a win-win situation for Hull.
We get a player for a knock-down value of what he would have cost under "normal" circumstances,and have him under a "probation" period til the end of the season...
If he knuckles down,keeps his nose clean and plays well...then great...offer him a new deal at season's end.
if he misbehaves and becomes disruptive,then at season's end..get rid.
I don't see much risk in taking a punt on him...

Having read Longy's book he came with a crazy reputation of the beer but we still gave him a chance....if Gleeson shows at least half of his class I would be happy....bring him in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not signing an available class player at a knockdown price would be an unbearable risk to take IMO. |

I don't see much risk in taking a punt on him...'" I think this is the way we as FC fans have to look at it, especially as we are languishing in an undesirable position in the league at the moment. Had we have been flying high at the top of the league, maybe this decision could seriously have been called into question. |
