Leaving aside the St George non event and the fact that NH was the first to discuss the possibility (he did say he had held discussions with Jimmy Rule) I think a combined Hull/Rovers team playing against a touring side is a great idea and would be something of a coup for the City of Hull.

I don't care one jot about GrudgeHull and it would be good to see the profits going to charity but I think that a combined Hull side v a touring team would be fantastic in so many ways.

The possibility of such a game is wrong on so many levels, not least being:



1) There are more than enough games in any one season, in the modern era



2) Any publicity would remain within the confines of the M62 corridor, if not East Yorkshire alone



3) There aren't many FC supporters would cross the street to help HKR in any way



4) He probably didn't realise that the only way of guaranteeing such a game went ahead is scheduling it for the KC

We can always charge them £5 more if they chose to wear red and white than anyone wearing black and white because of the extra stewards and policing. Seems fair to me
